Annual Message from President Meurer

Dear Reno-Tahoe Aviation Group,

Thanks to all of the hard work of our Members, Directors and Officers, 2013 was a very good year for your Reno Tahoe Aviation Group.

Some of our accomplishments last year:

A New Approach instituted by Reno Tahoe Airport Authority, resulting in GA having a seat at the table regarding the future of Reno Tahoe International Airport.
General Aviation moved to the forefront of RTAA priorities in the latest airport 5 year plan
West Side "T" Hangars to be kept in service for at least another 4 years
Barbeque and Flyby with Reno tower controllers
SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) analysis conducted jointly with RTAG and RTAA

at our Dec 4 meeting.
Badly Needed GA taxiways and ramp repairs completed

Future challenges and goals:

Develop programs and events to highlight the importance of General Aviation to all the people

served by the Reno Tahoe International and Stead airports.

Along these lines we will be exploring the creation of a Fly in Santa Claus event including a party

with presents for children in cooperation with local charities.

Continue to push for policies to maintain and improve General Aviation facilities and services at

both our airports.

Work with the RTAA to develop and implement the SWOT analysis as it applies to General Aviation.

Continue to work with RTAA and all parties for the betterment of General Aviation and all Aviation

at our Airports.

Many events and presentations are planned for 2014 that will be of interest to all involved in General Aviation

We need your help to make all this happen and to keep General Aviation strong, viable and growing in Northern Nevada. Your membership and participation in RTAG is vitally important to building on the positive momentum that we have established. This is an exciting time for General Aviation in Northern

Nevada, we hope you'll continue to be a part of the Reno Tahoe Aviation Group.

You can pay your $20 annual membership fee at our February 5, 2014 meeting or you can mail
